Glass vials are 16 mm x 100 mm to work with your existing COD reactor and spectrophotometer. Simply add 2 mL of your sample, heat in your digestor, and read in your spectrometer. Although mercury-free vials are not approved for EPA Methods, they may be used for non-EPA COD testing when chlorine interferrence is not a factor.
If the sample boils during the digestion, the vial is not properly sealed. Test results will be invalid. Use finger cots to handle hot sample cells.Spilled reagent will affect test accuracy and is hazardous. Do not run tests with spilled vials. See the DRB200 User
